The Neve 33114 is a single-channel vintage pre amp and equalizer originally designed as a console module. It features a line and mic input, a 3-band parametric equalizer as well as high and low-pass filters, an eq bypass control and a phase reversal switch.
The Neve 33114 is a class a/b broadcast Channel Amplifier is a standard slimline module originally designed for incorporation in mixing consoles where space was at a premium. Nowadays, these units are mainly housed in their own rack-mountable enclosures.
The module features a wide sensitivity range for both mic and line inputs (see specifications), followed by high-slope filters and an exceptional EQ section. Frequencies and characteristics have been selected for their musical relationship thus providing a versatile tool for the artistic control of audio material.
The 33114 shares the same microphone preamp as the 1081, with a different EQ section. In use, they prove extremely useful on guitars and piano; they also work great on vocals.
