The Bricasti Model 7 (M7) is a hardware reverb unit. With impressive power and flexibility, it delivers some of the most realistic acoustic simulations of any reverb processor ever made. It also offers expansive and esoteric reverb sounds, all with incredible fidelity and detail.
The M7 is the result of years of product development by a team of former-Lexicon[link] engineers. Combining thisformidable backgroundwith the capabilities of modern technology, the M7 builds on Lexicon's prestigious legacyand sets a newstandard for digital reverb processing, or as co-designer puts it, "With a deep appreciation of the best designs which precede it, and a passion for moving the science of reverberation forward, the Model 7 provides a palette of sounds that encompasses the familiar as well as new expressions in the art".
The M7 is built around an advanced DSP engine, which is far more powerful than what could be achieved by any software. In contrast to the design principle of Lexicon reverbs, it employs three separate reverb engines handle the various components of a reverb's sound, with a dedicated processor for theearly reflections, reverb tail and low frequencies, resulting in very complex and real emulations.
This unit can be used across a whole spectrum of reverb applications, although its biggest strength is modelling acoustic spaces. Through this, it is able to convincingly simulate natural ambience, add space to vocals, provide room sounds to drums or place a whole band on a soundstage with utmost realism.
