The Eurorack is a modular synthesizer standard pioneered by Doepfer in 1995, with the introduction of their A-100 modular synthesizer which at that time had only 10 modules available. There are currently over 120 modules available along with several enclosures and accessories.

The modules that make up a modular system can be linked in a variety of configurations, usually via patch cords, to produce virtually any sound, ranging from musical tones, sound effects, as well as external sound processing.

While the Eurorack standard was introduced and manufactured initially by german manufacturer Doepfer, a wide range of companies now produce modules for Eurorack systems. Since its introduction in 1995, the following modules have been, or are still being manufactured by Doepfer:
